Cartagena January 2015 (1)

Three days trip to Cartagena de Indias.

These street artists performed while we were waiting for the bus from Santa Marta to Cartagena..

On our way we saw this fishing society in an almost enclosed bay of the ocean.

This artist group was one of the first impressions in Cartagena. They were very good dancers.

Cartagena's historic cengter is Unesco listed, and very pictoresc. The picture shows the cathedral.

Street view. In the background the cathedral.

With lots of tourists there are also a lot of vendors in the streets.

There were many sculptures of this type. Here chess players.

Bjørn in one of the calmer plazas.

We do not know what this sculpture is called, but it might have been called La Colombina...

Sailboats anchored outside Club Nautico.

Still Christmas on the beach. The balls on the tree are a lot bigger than footballs.

This is not the historic town, but Getsemanee, a charming nabour quarter.

"NO! I have had enough. (Refusing another drink).

This lamp is made from plastic bottles. (In an art museum.) There is a light in each bottle.

A glance in the mirror.

Street artists trying to make a living. And probably they do.

This gentleman san a romantic song for us for 4.000 COP. (2 US $).
